These materials support the teaching of children who have poorly developed phonic knowledge, skills and understanding at Key Stage 2 .

They include  four units of work that contain suggested key activities  based on Phases Two to Five of Letters and Sounds : Principles and Practice of High Quality Phonics (Ref: 00281-2007FLR-EN)

The materials may be used flexibly and adapted or  supplemented according to need. Some children may require a few short focused sessions on a specific piece  of phonic knowledge while others may require longer to acquire, consolidate and secure crucial concepts such as blending and segmenting.
