Getting Involved with Healthy Schools

Getting Started

|

If you would like to come on board with Cumbria Healthy Schools, contact your local healthy schools coordinator through Claire Stephens, CHS Admin Assistant. Telephone 01539 713502 or e.mail claire.stephens@cumbriacc.gov.uk

Claire will arrange for your local coordinator to get in touch to arrange an initial visit in school.

From September 2007, schools are now able to Self Validate when it comes to obtaining National Healthy School Status.

The role of Cumbria Healthy Schools is largely two fold: that of offering professional support and carrying out its work within the Quality Assurance Framework.

The National Programme strongly recommends that schools liaise with their local programme prior to starting the journey of self validation.

Support documents regarding the process of self validation can be downloaded below.
